Forge Learning / Reading Forge Classroom
A Forge Learning Technologies product

One teacher, every iPad.

Reading Forge Classroom puts a whole class of Reading Forge iPads under the teacher's control. Push an activity to every student at once, watch live progress tile by tile, and freeze every screen with one tap when it's time for eyes up front — all built on the same Orton-Gillingham structured-literacy game struggling readers already love.

The Class console: class code 4673, license row, Short a · Vowel Valley pushed to class, and a live roster of students — Ava, Ben, Cara (hand raised), Diego, Ella — with current activity and sparks

How it works

Class-ready in three steps.

1

Start class.

The teacher opens the console on their iPad or iPhone. It shows a 4-digit class code and keeps the screen awake for the whole lesson.

2

Students join.

Kids grab any iPad from the cart, the app finds the teacher's class on the school WiFi, they enter the class code and tap their own name. Their progress follows them to whatever device they picked up — and is wiped from the shared iPad when they hand it back.

3

Teach.

Push any skill and activity to the whole class or to one student. Watch sparks, current activity, and raised hands live on the roster. Tap "Attention" to freeze every screen; tap a student's tile for one-child actions and a quick progress snapshot.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does it need internet?

Only for the teacher's sign-in and license check — and the license is remembered on the device afterward. Class itself runs on local WiFi and keeps working with no internet at all.

What devices?

Students: iPad. Teacher console: iPad or iPhone (portrait or landscape); a Mac teacher console is on the roadmap.

Is my students' data collected?

No. Students have no accounts; their progress stays on school devices. See the privacy policy — it's short.

How do teachers get access?

Once your school is licensed, any teacher signs into the app with their school Google or Apple account. That's the entire rollout.

What curriculum is inside?

The full Reading Forge Orton-Gillingham sequence: letter sounds, short vowels, digraphs, blends, magic e, vowel teams, r-controlled vowels, and diphthongs, taught through the forge game world. See the curriculum and the activities.
